Local business owner, Rob Yeary, first connected with New Hope of Indiana in 2023. He was interested in our mission of serving individuals with disabilities as he has a family member with disabilities. He was impressed with the organization and wanted to get involved.

Rob has successfully started and led a number of businesses and wanted to give back to the community in a more consistent way. To do that, he created Universal Cares, a nonprofit whose mission is to actively support Indiana communities as engaged citizens by connecting friends and neighbors through compassionate community service.

After connecting with New Hope, Rob wanted to help the individuals we support. He connected with New Hope’s Vocational Services program, which helps individuals with disabilities find meaningful employment. His company, Universal Cleaners, has now employed three individuals with disabilities! Next, Rob asked if any of the 47 New Hope-owned homes needed new roofs. On July 11, Universal Cares sponsored and made it possible for a new roof to be put on one of our residential homes! The new roof looks great!

Universal Cares has other plans to partner with New Hope in the future. We appreciate their generosity and partnership very much and are thrilled to have them as a part of our New Hope family!
