What We Offer

New Hope offers two programs that help individuals with disabilities in the transition from high school to full-time adult life.

The Cheese and Thank You food truck program provides individuals with paid job training in the food service industry to prepare them for employment. During this program, participants run all aspects of the food truck, so the skills are being developed in real-time through real situations. With guidance and support from trained staff, program participants gain valuable transferrable skills that they can take with them into the workforce. New Hope’s Achieving Inclusion and Meaning (AIM) Program provides young adults with disabilities community-based opportunities to develop skills for independence, practice interpersonal skills and empower individuals to live their best lives. Participants spend time in the community experiencing educational and cultural events, public resources such as libraries and transit options, volunteer opportunities with local organizations and leadership opportunities through New Hope’s Aktion Club.

Our Experience

New Hope’s Cheese and Thank You food truck first launched in 2019, and this past year, served over 1,600 meals. The AIM program began in 2018 and is led by a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist with nearly 20 years of experience. Organization-wide, New Hope boasts a dedicated team where 30% of associates have been employed with us for over 10 years and over 50% have more than a decade of total experience.

Our Culture

“We are in the people business.” This phrase encapsulates our commitment to creating a caring and inclusive culture where every individual, regardless of ability, is celebrated. The individuals we serve are at the heart of what we do, and our core values—Service, Reverence, Integrity, Inclusivity, Wisdom, Creativity, and Dedication—guide our actions every day.
