The Best Team Makes New Hope a Top Workplace

The Best Team Makes New Hope a Top Workplace

by Claire Bozzano, Director of Human Resources

I am so excited to share that The Indianapolis Star has named New Hope of Indiana one of their Top Workplaces 2019.  This is especially exciting because the list is based solely on our associate’s input. They were truly the judges for this award!

Being named a Top Workplace is very rewarding to me personally as I approach retirement from New Hope of Indiana in July 2019.  It demonstrates that our strategic plans to recruit the best and brightest, to provide those associates with every opportunity to learn and grow and to recognize them for their dedication and superior care of our clients was, and will continue to be, successful.

This award isn’t something we could buy. It was determined by the anonymous input of our associates at all levels who responded to survey questions regarding workplace culture and support. Because it was a totally anonymous process facilitated by a third-party, associates who took the survey had the opportunity to be truly honest.

New Hope is one of the few nonprofits to be recognized as a Top Workplace in Indianapolis. While our resources are often limited, we are thrilled our employees recognize that we’ve tried to create a culture that is fun and rewarding in many ways. We value their hard work every day and are honored to share this award with each of them.

I believe that earning a spot on the Top Workplaces list is a testament to the commitment and dedication of our 400+ associates. We hope to use this award to demonstrate to potential associates that New Hope of Indiana is a great place to work in the competitive Indianapolis environment. Research shows that other companies and organizations who have been awarded a spot on this list have lower turnover rates than those who have not earned a Top Workplaces designation. This is a great way to show our donors that we strive to be good stewards of their generous donations. When we’re able to attract and retain better associates, we spend less of our charitable contributions on things like recruitment and training and more on programs that impact the individuals and families we serve.

Help us spread the word about New Hope’s win! Please share this blog on social media or pass along our open positions to someone who is looking for a new job.  Be sure to tell them New Hope is one of the best places to work in Indianapolis!
