26 Oct Thanks for a Great Silver Cup Celebration
by Jenny Pfeil, Director of Development
The Fourth Annual Silver Cup Celebration was held on September 30, 2021 at the Willows on Westfield. After not holding the event in 2020 due to COVID, this year’s event was our most successful yet!
We were able to share the New Hope story with the over 240 guests who attended the luncheon and raise over $122,000! This year’s theme was #Everyday Champions and we celebrated the wonderful New Hope associates who have gone the extra mile this past year and half to provide the very best care to those we serve as well as the incredible individuals with disabilities who were flexible and adaptable to using new ways to stay connected with friends and loved ones – especially during times of isolation.
Former Superbowl Champion Gary Brackett was our keynote speaker and provided inspiring comments on how we all can be #Everyday Champions. We also shared videos, highlighting our associates, clients and families who depend on our mission, to demonstrate how New Hope positively impacts the lives of those we serve. You can find all of these on our YouTube channel. We awarded our Partner In Service Award to the Kiwanis Club of Northwest Indianapolis for their amazing support throughout the pandemic. We also honored Jeff Alexovich as our Beverly Dyken Volunteer of the Year. Jeff has truly gone above and beyond this past year and we are grateful for all he does to support New Hope.
We had planned to live-stream the event so friends and family could watch the event from anywhere. However, due to technical challenges, not all of the event was able to be viewed online. If you would like to see a recording of the event, you can find it here.
Thanks to everyone who made this year’s event so successful! We will begin planning next year’s Silver Cup Celebration in early 2022. If you would like to be a part of the planning committee, please let us know!
