Ever wonder how New Hope finds its dedicated caregivers and all the other behind-the-scenes talent that keep New Hope running? Well, meet our very own Talent Acquisition Coordinator, Allison Spence. Allison has been a part of the New Hope Human Resources team for nearly three years where she dedicates her time to finding the right people for the job. Before she came to New Hope, Allison earned a Bachelors degree in Health Services from the University of Southern Indiana (USI) was a Business Office Manager at an assisted-living facility, maintaining the day-to-day operations including all human resources responsibilities. While she enjoyed her role there, she wanted to find a place that meant more to her where she could find a better work-life balance. Then, she found New Hope. And with us, she found her work-life balance.
In her current role, Allison spends most of her time recruiting new associates, interviewing them and finding them the right place within the organization. Because most of New Hope’s associates work so closely with the individuals in their homes, it’s especially important to find just the right fit between a caregiver and the people they serve. While it’s not often an easy job, what makes it easier is referrals from our very own associates. No one knows the job better than them, so they’re recommendations are especially meaningful. When it’s time to relax, Allison is a loving dog-mom and enjoys baking for all occasions. She even works part-time making gourmet doughnuts! While she would love a less stressful job, she loves New Hope and doing her part to serve our clients. We are so glad to have Allison on our team!
