It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Deborah, affectionately known as Deb Sherry. Deb passed away peacefully on September 20, 2025, in her home at Brendon Park surrounded by the undeniable love and support of her in-home hospice team, caregivers and housemates.

Deb was a cherished member of the New Hope community for many decades. She initially joined the main facility in 1989 and moved to her forever home at Brendon Park in 1996. Deb enjoyed attending New Hope’s Day program for many years, where she particularly loved participating in puzzles and creating artwork.

She took pleasure in having her nails painted, wearing stylish jewelry, and frequently redecorating her room, often changing paint colors and bedding to match her current decor. Deb shared a close bond with her brother, Paul, and sister-in-law, Ann. She especially adored her nieces, Lauren and Megan.

Deb was one of the sweetest souls, always smiling and showing kindness to everyone fortunate enough to know her. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, beloved housemates, staff and all who considered her a friend.

Deb will be remembered at New Hope’s Celebration of Life service on October 3, 2025.
