Amelia “Amy” Morris – 3/10/2026

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Amelia “Amy” Morris. Amy passed away on March 10, 2026, at her home on 75th Place, surrounded by the love and support of her in-home hospice team, DSP caregivers, and housemates.

Although we served Amy for only seven months, she left a profound impact on us all with her courage, compassion, and kindness. Her beautiful smile brought joy to New Hope’s Day Services program and to everyone living and working in her 75th Place home. We are honored to have cared for her until her last breath. Amy was full of fun and spirit, and she never hesitated to share her thoughts. A master at UNO, she loved a good challenge and enjoyed defeating anyone who dared to compete against her. Her infectious smile was impossible to resist, and once you met her, you quickly became her friend. Amy’s Team Leader, Jessica Suggs, was fortunate to be her best friend.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Amy, her family, housemates, staff, and all those who considered her a friend.
