Patricia Holman

It is with sadness that New Hope announces the passing of Patricia Holman. Patricia passed away on February 12, 2025, at the age of 60. At the time of her passing, Patricia was receiving comfort care from in-home hospice and around-the-clock care from her dedicated support team at Coopersmith.

Patricia joined the New Hope family in 2016, residing at Coopersmith with her beloved housemates from the very beginning. Patricia was the lady of the home and could often be found watching TV, listening to music, or enjoying herself as her housemate and friend read from his Bible. Among Patricia’s favorite things were pizza, fleece blankets, her stuffed Grinch, and Brown Bear, and having her hair styled! Patricia had a close relationship with her siblings, especially her sister Vivian who always brought a smile to her face! Patricia was eager, strong-willed, and always living life on her terms

Our thoughts and prayers are with Patricia’s family, housemates, staff and all who called Patricia.

Jerry DeBaun

It is with sadness that New Hope announces the passing of Jerry DeBaun. Jerry passed away on March 16, 2025, at the age of 76.

Jerry’s been a cherished part of the New Hope family since 1982. Jerry moved from the main facility to Justin group home in 1990 before settling in the Supported Living program in 2004. Jerry resided at Arbor Lakes before moving to his current home, Gifford St. Among Jerry’s favorite things were sweet tea, Reese’s peanut butter cups, and old Western movies. Jerry also enjoyed visiting with his close friends Vickie and Ginger, annual trips to the track with Friends of the Fox, van rides, visits to the local park, and playing Uno with his dedicated DSP team.

Jerry’s life will be celebrated at New Hope’s annual Celebration of Life services this fall. Our thoughts and prayers are with Jerry’s housemates, staff, and all who called Jerry a friend.
