27 Mar Remembering Our Friends: March 2023
It is with sadness that New Hope announces the passing of Kyle Eakin. Kyle passed on Wednesday, March 15th. Kyle was served by New Hope for 35 years! She moved into New Hope’s facility in 1988 where she received services and met her long-time boyfriend, James Howland, and friend, Mary Wagner Shields. Kyle moved to Naseau Group Home in 1993. In the past, Kyle worked at Noble’s workshop, attended both Payne Road and Castleton Day Services, and attended Janus Developmental Services. She loved country music, especially Kenny Chesney, reading the newspaper and magazines and going to the local Barnes and Noble bookstore and library. Kyle spoke often of her cousins, Geri and Kay, and enjoyed spending time with them, especially on holidays. Above all, Kyle’s absolute love was James and fondly enjoyed talking to and spending time with him.
Our thoughts and prayers are with James, Kyle’s family, caregivers, Naseau Group Home individuals, Day Services individuals and all who called Kyle a friend.
It is with sadness that New Hope announces the passing of Lynne Martin. Lynne passed away on Thursday, March 23rd. Lynne was served by New Hope for 15 years! She moved into the Arlington Supported Living home in 2009 and lived there with her friends until she passed. Lynne also attended Payne Road Day Services for many years and was beloved by so many at New Hope. Lynne loved to wear jewelry and get her nails done. Her family was extremely active in her life, and she adored all of them! She especially enjoyed going to lunch with her sisters, Susan and Rebecca, every Thursday without fail, and often spoke to them on the phone as well.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Lynne’s family, caregivers, Arlington Supported Living individuals, Payne Road Day Services individuals and all who called Lynne a friend.
