26 Jan NEWS: New Hope of Indiana Looks to Hire 50 in 2021

New Hope of Indiana is looking to hire 50 additional associates in the New Year. New Hope provides community-based residential, day services and other supports to Hoosiers with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The majority of the positions are located in group homes on the Northwest and East side of Indianapolis and in Hamilton County. The organization has an immediate need to fill a growing demand for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) who support New Hope clients. DSPs help the individuals they serve live their best life and assist them with fun activities and daily tasks such as bathing, dressing and cooking/eating.

“DSPs have always been considered essential workers to our organization. Without them we would not be able to carry out our core business of care and support for people with disabilities,” said New Hope of Indiana CEO Allison Wharry.

The nonprofit also offers excellent benefits including Medical/Dental/Vision insurance; 100 percent paid short-term, long-term disability, basic life and AD&D insurance; a retirement plan with an employer match; competitive paid time off accrual; tuition reimbursement; referral bonuses; and employee loans which have been very helpful during the pandemic.

“The most important qualification applicants should have is a passion for helping others,” said Wharry. “These positions will truly make a difference in the lives of our clients each and every day.”
Applicants can learn more about the positions by visiting the New Hope website and can apply online.
