New Hope recently celebrated its annual Blooming with Talent Show, a vibrant event organized entirely by the New Hope Aktion Club. The show highlighted the creativity, skills, and joy of New Hope individuals while raising funds for a worthy cause.

The afternoon featured an impressive lineup of local talent. Over 30 individuals took the stage, showcasing a variety of performances. Singing, dancing, art, and comedy acts were the standout highlights, delighting the audience with heartfelt performances and entertaining routines. Attendees enjoyed a festive atmosphere with a nominal entrance fee and the option to purchase refreshments.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Riley’s Children Foundation, selected by the New Hope Aktion Club through their voting process. Each year, club members vote on a local nonprofit to receive the funds raised from their events, allowing the group to directly supportcauses that matter most to them and their community.

About New Hope’s Aktion Club

The New Hope Aktion Club is an active service-oriented group dedicated to empowering adults with disabilities. The club meets monthly, providing regular opportunities for members to connect, plan service projects, and build friendships while making a positive impact.

Aktion Club is the only service club designed specifically for adults with disabilities. Worldwide, it boasts more than 7,200 members. Clubs draw participants from various organizations that support individuals with disabilities, as well as other community programs. Aktion Clubs can be established in diverse settings, including churches, libraries, YMCAs, lodges, and similar facilities.

Each Aktion Club is sponsored by a local Kiwanis club, which provides guidance and support. New Hope’s Aktion Club is proudly sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Northwest Indianapolis. The New Hope community extends deep gratitude to their Kiwanis sponsors for their ongoing commitment and partnership.

Aktion Clubs receive additional support at the district level and from the Kiwanis International Office in Indianapolis, Indiana. This includes access to programs, literature, and opportunities to connect with individuals with disabilities from around the world.

The “Blooming with Talent” show perfectly embodies the spirit of Aktion Club—celebrating abilities, fostering inclusion, and serving the community through meaningful action. Events like this not only raise important funds but also shine a light on the incredible talents and contributions of New Hope’s members.
