New Hope to Host Free Workshop for Caregivers
Families with children and other dependents with special needs, no matter what the age or disability, face many serious questions about how to best prepare for their dependent’s future well-being. On Thursday, September 11th at 6:30 p.m., New Hope is hosting a free workshop that will provide information on how caregivers can secure the future of their dependents with special needs.
New Hope welcomes back for the second year, Gordon Homes, who will be presenting this useful workshop. Gordon will address the top financial mistakes to avoid for dependents with special needs and reviewing some common planning situations with the understanding that each actual plan is unique to the individual’s needs and lifestyle.
The event will run for approximately 45 minutes and will be held at New Hope’s main facility – 8450 N. Payne Road, Suite 300, Indianapolis, IN 46268. There will also be a virtual option available. I participated in Gordon’s workshop last year, and I highly recommend attending. After hearing his presentation, we met with Gordon independently at his office. Gordon’s knowledge, expertise, and experience provided direction and assistance with planning our daughter’s future. Through our collaboration, we have secured life insurance, guardianship, and SSI. Gordon helps families navigate a very complicated system. He admits it is a calling, and I completely agree. I am grateful that I had the foresight to attend his workshop. Our daughter’s future is more secure than it was a year ago.
