New Hope Raises Over $27,000 for Art Therapy

30 Apr New Hope Raises Over $27,000 for Art Therapy

Thanks to all of our friends and partners who attended last week’s Silver Cup Celebration and helped us raise over $27,000 to expand and support our Art Therapy Program!

The event was a celebration of New Hope’s Year of Creativity and featured several of New Hope’s most creative individuals. Starting with a performance of New Hope’s choir and featuring a beautiful video with some of our artists, a poem written and presented by Robert Hoey and an impressive piano performance from Tom Murray, New Hope’s creativity was evident throughout the entire event. Guests were able to shop some one-of-a-kind New Hope artwork including pottery, mosaic planters, paintings and more.

We were also proud to present John Pearson of Pearson Ford with our first ever New Hope of Indiana Partner in Service Award! John has been a great advocate for those we serve and is a terrific example of a true community partner. With his generous gift of $10,000 at last year’s Silver Cup Celebration, we were able to launch a new community-based program for young adults with disabilities, AIM, last fall. The individuals served in AIM were honored to present John with his award and thank him for his ongoing support.

At the end of the program, CEO Allison Wharry presented two of New Hope’s most senior associates with a special gift to thank them for their dedicated service (a combined total of 80 years at New Hope!) as we prepare for their retirements at the end of the year. Thank you so much to Lynn Feldman and Kathe Rae for their leadership over the last four decades!

Thanks also to our presenting sponsor, Pearson Ford, as well as our gold sponsors, PNC and St. Vincent Health for their generous support which makes this event possible. With their support as well as the support of our silver and bronze sponsors, we were able to raise over $80,000 in total from this event and netted more than we did at the Silver Cup Celebration last year!
