Program recognizes outstanding woman-led businesses for their commitment to a people-first culture

INDIANAPOLIS – New Hope of Indiana has been chosen to receive a national Top Workplaces Woman-Led Culture Excellence Award. The inaugural group of award winning organizations led by women was announced by Energage to coincide with Women’s History Month. New Hope was selected in the 1-499 employee category.

New Hope of Indiana provides community-based residential services and a variety of therapy, day, vocational and transition services for Hoosiers with developmental disabilities. With a team of just under 400 associates, New Hope of Indiana has over 50 women and minority leaders.

“All of us at New Hope are extremely excited to receive this national award,” said New Hope of Indiana CEO Allison Wharry. “The pandemic has been incredibly difficult for our frontline workers and this recognition gives our whole team a morale boost. We truly believe in the power of putting people first and creating an inclusive community. It is truly gratifying to have that culture recognized.”

The national Top Workplaces program – including an annual USA award as well as quarterly Industry and Culture Excellence awards – is an expansion of the prestigious Top Workplaces regional program that recognizes the best places to work in 56 major U.S. markets, including Indianapolis.

All Top Workplaces awards are based solely on feedback captured by the Energage Workplace Survey, a research-backed employee engagement survey. Participating organizations are evaluated against the industry’s most robust benchmarks, based on

14 years of research and data from 70,000 organizations and 23 million employee surveys.

“What better way for Energage to celebrate Women’s History Month than to recognize those woman-led organizations across the country that have made a positive impact on the workplace by prioritizing people,” said Lisa Sordilla, vice president of human resources for Energage. “Each day, we are seeing women raise the bar in the workplace and it’s an honor to recognize these well-deserving organizations with the Woman-Led Culture Excellence award. Through this recognition, we hope to give woman-led companies the credit they deserve and support their continued growth by showcasing their outstanding commitment to employees.” For a full list of the award recipients, click here.
