New Hope of Indiana received two awards from the LISC Love Thy Neighborhood Awards! LISC is the Local Initiative Support Corporation, who, along with residents and partners, help forge resilient and inclusive communities of opportunity across America. In September, LISC Indy held its 7^th annual Love Thy Neighborhood Awards to recognize and celebrate the community development game changers in the Indianapolis region. Companies were nominated in one of four categories: livability, opportunity, vitality and education. New Hope was anonymously nominated in and won the livability category. The livability category recognizes an organization or initiative that provides access to quality health care, local high-quality food access, cultural attractions, pedestrian and bicycle connectivity, recreational programs and spaces, and preservation and enhancement of natural spaces. Along with being named the 2024 Livability Award recipient, New Hope received $2,500 to further its mission! Check out our nomination video here!

In addition, New Hope received the coveted People’s Choice Award and an additional $5,000! Thank you to all of #TeamNewHope for voting on the People’s Choice Award.
