In September, New Hope held two events to better reach people in our community. On September 9^th, New Hope held a Cheese and Thank You Lunch and Learn where attendees learned about New Hope’s innovative job-training program that teaches individuals with disabilities all aspects of the food service industry. Attendees enjoyed yummy mac n’ cheese provided by New Hope’s Cheese and Thank You food truck and received a tour of New Hope’s Payne Road building.

On September 19^th, New Hope held an event for caregivers of dependents with disabilities. Gordon Homes from WestPoint Financial Group provided information on how families and caregivers can best prepare for the financial well-being of their family members/dependents with disabilities. Gordon shared his personal journey with his son, who has disabilities, and provided pertinent information to the group on the many rules and regulations to be aware of when navigating this complex topic.
