Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. believed that true greatness comes from serving others with compassion and love. He encouraged everyone—regardless of background—to give back to their communities through acts of service.

At New Hope of Indiana, we share this vision of service and inclusion. To honor Dr. King’s legacy, we once again hosted ourMartin Luther King Jr. Day of Service on Monday, January 19, 2026.

Our dedicated volunteers spent the day making a real difference at our Payne Road location. They helped with a variety of hands-on projects, including moving fitness equipment, couches, tables, and chairs, as well as organizing art supplies, the sensory room, and the pantry. Many hands truly make light work, and these efforts helped keep our spaces welcoming, functional, and ready to support the individuals we serve in our Day Services and Achieving Inclusion and Meaning (AIM) programs.

Thank you to all the amazing volunteers who gave their time on MLK Day to join New Hope’s Day of Service! Your generosity and hard work make a meaningful impact in the lives of those we support every day.
