Interns Bring New Talent to New Hope

28 May Interns Bring New Talent to New Hope

Throughout the years, New Hope of Indiana has provided opportunities for college students to complete practicums as a part of their specific degree curriculum, most of which have been clinically-based programs such as social work, recreational therapy, nursing, etc. While the clinical placements will still occur, New Hope has initiated a new program to attract interns for business operations such as marketing, fund development, human resources, accounting and information technology. The new internship program was designed in collaboration with the Butler Business Consulting Group and the objectives are as follows:

1. Attract future leaders to New Hope of Indiana, who will provide new and fresh perspectives.
2. Foster a learning environment for students to grow professionally through challenging projects, function-specific tasks and interactions with the clients served by New Hope.
3. Gain short-term talent.

We currently have a nursing intern, Ben Pinegar, from Maryville University in St. Louis, and we have our first business-related intern, Courtney Flint, a Butler student, who started a summer internship with the Accounting Department this week. We look forward to having additional interns in the near future, bringing enthusiasm, new ideas, the latest in technology and so much more.
