Hope House, launched by New Hope of Indiana, is the first out-of-home respite care and skills development program in Marion County, offering a safe, welcoming, and innovative one-bedroom home. With a mission to empower individuals to live their most fulfilling lives, Hope House is not just a place to stay—it’s a launchpad for independence, personal growth, and community connection.

For 47 years, New Hope of Indiana has been a cornerstone of support for individuals with disabilities in Marion County, providing the largest nonprofit residential services in the county. Hope House builds on this legacy, offering a twofold approach that combines traditional respite care with opportunities for skills development. This unique approach ensures that caregivers can take well-deserved breaks while their loved ones thrive in a nurturing, goal-oriented environment.

The program is designed to meet individuals where they are, with personalized care plans tailored to their unique needs and aspirations. Whether it’s mastering daily living skills like cooking or navigating public transportation, or simply enjoying a supportive space during a family’s absence, Hope House is a beacon of possibility.

The home also integrates cutting-edge technology through a partnership with THS, a Cincinnati-based remote support provider. Interested individuals can explore state-of-the-art equipment designed to support independent living, with staff on hand to guide them through the process. This forward-thinking approach ensures that individuals not only feel supported but are equipped with the resources to pursue their goals.

Made possible through the generous support of Lilly Endowment Inc., Hope House is a catalyst for stronger, more inclusive communities. As the only out-of-home respite and skills development service in Marion and surrounding counties, Hope House is a pioneering effort.
