13 Dec Ascension St. Vincent Hope for the Holidays
For over 10 years, associates at Ascension St. Vincent have supported individuals in need during the holiday season. Referrals for individuals in need come from social workers for patients of the hospital as well as from New Hope of Indiana for individuals we support. Every year, departments at Ascension St. Vincent ‘adopt’ these referred individuals or families in need and buy them holiday gifts. This program has come to be known as Hope for the Holidays.
New Hope of Indiana has a long-standing partnership with Ascension St. Vincent, who continues to support us in numerous ways. We couldn’t be more thankful for their long-time dedication to our mission of supporting individuals with disabilities to live their best, most fulfilled lives.

Our partners at Ascension St. Vincent tell us this program is something they look forward to every year. Through Hope for the Holidays, their associates have gotten to know more about New Hope and the individuals we serve, making the program even more meaningful to them. Katy, one of the Hope for the Holidays coordinators, has gotten to know many New Hope individuals. She even started delivering the gifts her department purchased for the New Hope home they ‘adopted’ on Christmas Eve so the recipients could open them as soon as they received them!
This year, Hope for the Holidays adopted 58 individuals served by New Hope. These individuals will now receive much needed items this holiday season. Thank you, Ascension St. Vincent, for providing the individuals we serve with joy this holiday season!
