23 Nov Give Back this #GivingTuesday!
Did you know that New Hope receives the majority of our funding through Medicaid reimbursement? This means that many of the services we provide to our clients are paid for by the government. However, this funding often leaves a gap between what is paid for by Medicaid and the quality of care that we are committed to providing to our clients. For example, New Hope offers art therapy which is led by a trained, masters-level art therapist in which clients are able to express themselves through many different art mediums like painting, sculpting, tile mosaic and more. Because Medicaid does not pay for art therapy, New Hope loses money by providing this service, and we are limited to a very small number of hours in which we can provide this service each week. There are many services like this which require the support of our friends and family.
Your donation this #GivingTuesday and throughout the rest of the giving season will go to support services like art therapy which are otherwise unfunded.
A donation of just $40 could pay for an hour of art therapy for 4 clients.
Please remember New Hope of Indiana this #GivingTuesday and continue to support these much needed services for those we serve.
