DSPs Offer Support 24/7

31 Aug DSPs Offer Support 24/7

DSP Appreciation Week is September 12-18 and this year, we are hoping you’ll help us celebrate these dedicated frontline caregivers in a special way.

New Hope’s Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) are truly exceptional – providing care for the individuals served by New Hope 24/7. Even through a global pandemic, these selfless caregivers never quit serving our most vulnerable neighbors. To recognize their tireless work, we want to say THANK YOU to them!

Here’s how you can help:

  1. Make a donation in honor of a DSP. Please consider making a recurring monthly gift of $24.70 in support of New Hope’s DSPs this month as we honor our incredible Direct Support Professionals. As you might know, the state budget increased funding for DSP wages in waiver settings this year. Your monthly gift will help us ensure that each DSP, regardless of the services they provide, receives higher wages and the best benefits in our industry. The wellbeing of our DSPs directly affects the wellbeing of our clients. Support New Hope’s mission by pledging a monthly gift of just $24.70 in honor of these selfless caregivers and the individuals they serve 24/7.
  1. Post and share on social media. Most of us are already on social media in one form or another. Be sure to like and follow @NewHopeIndy on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or LinkedIn to stay connected with us. During DSP Week, you can share our posts about the 24/7 giving campaign, stories about our exceptional DSPs and other posts to show appreciation to our caregivers. Spread the word about our mission to help us find more friends like you.
  1. Send a thank you note. The simplest way to show your support this DSP Week is to write a thank you note to our frontline caregivers. DSPs are often overlooked and underappreciated in our community. Show them how much they mean to you by sending a thank you note to us at newhopenews@newhopeofindiana.org. It can be a specific note to a DSP who cares for your loved one or to all of #TeamNewHope for their dedication and service. We’ll share all the thank you notes we receive with our associates on Wednesday, September 15th.

However you’re able to help, we hope you’ll take the time to show your appreciation for #TeamNewHope’s DSPs this month!

So glad these wonderful caregivers are receiving not only more in their paycheck which is
Definately needed as they really work extremely hard for our children and they surely deserve to be recognized. They’re very special people.
