Culture Corner: Meet Brian Rexroat

In September, Brian Rexroat celebrated his first year back at New Hope of Indiana. We call Brian a boomerang employee which means that he worked at New Hope for a period, left and returned. Brian worked as a Team Leader from 2019 to 2022. He managed two of the more medically complex group homes, Rosalie and Providence, and loved it. Brian worked as one of New Hope’s angels during COVID, meaning he worked tirelessly to ensure client and staff safety during the pandemic. After Brian decided to reenter the workforce, he returned to New Hope in 2025. When asked about his decision to return to New Hope, Brian said he never considered working anywhere else. Brian expressed his gratitude for the sense of family that New Hope provides for its employees. Brian drives 45 minutes to work each day and in his words, “every day is worth it.” He is often impressed by the support and trainings New Hope provides for its employees.

What Brian enjoys most about working at New Hope are the conversations he has with clients. He loves when the ladies in his home enter his office and share stories. He also loves aiding their interests such as purses, shoes, and more. Every Monday, Brian takes his clients out to eat, for what he says is their own little tradition. He helps both clients and coworkers budget their finances and set goals for their future.

Outside of work, Brian is raising a new 12-week-old puppy named Bella. Brian also loves spending his free time in his yard landscaping and spending time with his family.

Brian’s story is an exemplifying example of the close-knit community at New Hope. Brian found comfort in the fellowship of coworkers and clients alike. We are so grateful for Brian’s leadership, passion, and the care he brings to work each day. Thank you, Brian, for shining your light here at New Hope. We are so grateful you are a part of our community.
