Columbia Club Hosts AIM for Holiday Gathering

The Columbia Club has been a wonderful partner to New Hope of Indiana for the past 3 years. Through sponsorship of our Day Services bingo and welcoming our Achieving Inclusion and Meaning (AIM) group to come in for tours, meals and special events, they have made a positive impact on the individuals we serve.

At the beginning of December, the Columbia Club once again hosted our AIM group for a holiday get-together. During the event, several members of the Club spent time with, and got to know, members of AIM while making ornaments with them. To make the ornaments, everyone drew a pattern or picture of their choice on a mini canvas with permanent markers. Then, they sprayed their masterpieces with rubbing alcohol to give them a ‘tie-dyed’ effect. Finally, they added a ribbon of their choice to the back to serve as the ornament hook. Columbia Club members and AIMsters created beautiful works of art and many plan to use them as gifts during the holiday season!

After ornament making, the Columbia Club treated AIM to a delicious lunch buffet complete with chicken tenders, burgers, salads and homemade cookies. Everyone enjoyed getting to sit down for a scrumptious lunch amongst the festive decorations at the club.

Members of the Columbia Club didn’t stop there with their support for individuals served by New Hope this holiday season. The club once again plans to donate bingo prizes for our weekly games of bingo in Day Services! Thank you to the Columbia Club for your continued support of the individuals we serve! We appreciate you.
