27 Jun Cocktail Reception Fundraiser is a Success

During the evening, Tim Cook, whose son Hank participates in our AIM group, attends Day Services and lives in one of our group homes, made remarks on how much New Hope has meant to their family. Here is some of what the Cooks had to say about their connection to and experience with New Hope:
New Hope of Indiana has played an incredibly important role in the lives of our family. Our son Hank is 26 and deals with a variety of cognitive and health challenges. We became aware of an opportunity for Hank to move into a New Hope home with a group of guys his age who have similar challenges. Hank officially made the move to this home in December, and this opportunity has given him a chance to make friends, be more independent, and experience a different quality of life. We are so grateful to New Hope for all they have done, and will continue to do, for Hank and our family. -Tim and Denise Cook
New Hope family members Bernie and Sue Konrady were also in attendance, and shared the impact New Hope has had on their lives. They come from a different perspective, as Bernie’s brother Jeff, has been served by New Hope since we opened our doors in 1978. Bernie said that he is grateful for his parents’ insight and intellect about establishing Jeff at New Hope all those years ago because he has thrived ever since.
During the reception, the Konradys offered a dollar-for-dollar match for the first $10,000 in gifts. This match was met and exceeded, and New Hope was able to raise a total of $38,000 as a result of this reception. New Hope could not be more grateful to the Cooks, Konradys and all who attended and supported this reception.
Our next fundraising event, the Silver Cup Celebration, is August 10th. This year’s event will be held at the Indiana Farm Bureau Football Center, also known as the Indianapolis Colts practice facility. If you are interested in attending, please click the button below to purchase tickets.
