This February, New Hope proudly celebrates Black History Month as we honor the sacrifices, achievements, and vibrant heritage of the African American and Black community. This annual observance offers an important opportunity to reflect on the profound impact Black individuals have had on our nation’s history and to celebrate the cultural richness they bring to our shared communities.

At New Hope, we take special pride in recognizing the heritage of our diverse staff. Each person contributes unique experiences, traditions, and perspectives that help shape a more inclusive, culturally enriched workplace. Their leadership, dedication, and lived experiences strengthen our mission and deepen the sense of community within our organization.

One of the ways we will celebrate our associates’ heritage this month is through our annual traditional African dress parade in the Day Services program, which took place on Thursday, February 5th. During this joyful event, associates were invited to wear traditional African attire, dance to music from their home countries, and share dishes that reflect the flavors and traditions of their cultures. This lively celebration not only kicks off Black History Month each year but also provides a meaningful way for associates to share their heritage with the individuals we serve.
