Annual Fall Festival a Success

21 Oct Annual Fall Festival a Success

This October, we invited the individuals we serve to join us for our annual Fall Festival celebration. We moved the party from our outdoor shelter house to inside due to cooler weather conditions. The Fall Festival was a great time for the individuals we serve to get together for socialization and fun activities. Due to the pandemic, many of the individuals we serve had not had the opportunity to see each other in a while. It was fun to reconnect with each other and catch up.

The event kicked off with music played by our DJ. Fall Festival attendees didn’t waste any time and went right to the dance floor. Everyone enjoyed dancing to songs such as the Macarena and the Electric Slide. Many individuals served enjoyed doing fall and Halloween crafts. They also played bingo and won fun fall-themed prizes. Everyone was then treated to pizza, soda, and desserts for lunch.

After lunch, we held a costume parade around the building to show off all the creative and fun costumes individuals wore. We ended the parade by announcing the winners of the annual Costume Contest.

Special thanks to our friends at the Northwest Indianapolis Kiwanis Club who once again sponsored the Fall Festival. We are grateful to have their financial support and appreciate many members coming out to volunteer at the event as well. If you’d like to see pictures of the event, you can find them here
