A Note from Allison: September 2026
A Note from Allison: September 2026
Happy fall (can you believe it is fall?)-
What a great month September has been at New Hope of Indiana! We are very excited that three individuals will move into our brand new “Vincent” group home this week! This home, located in northwest Indianapolis, will be home to six men that will all move in during the next several weeks. We are excited to welcome them all! The beds at Vincent Group Home came from separating shared bedrooms to private bedrooms at other group homes throughout the New Hope system.
We are also excited to begin to see change happening around the building because of New Hope’s highly successful capital campaign, and that is because of you! On October 19th, our Day Services program at New Hope will move into the old hospice building as a temporary home while our current Day Services’ space is being remodeled. There have not been patients in the hospice space for over a year. Day Services and AIM attendees will enter the building through the entrance to the north of our main entrance, separating our building from the hospice building. Parking will remain the same.
This change will not affect AIM’s location, except that they will enter the building through the north entrance as well.
Also, on October 19th at 11:00am, New Hope will host our official groundbreaking of our space! We are so excited to celebrate the beginning of this transformative project!
As you may remember, in September, we are always excited to celebrate New Hope’s amazing Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) during DSP week. If you are fortunate to know a New Hope DSP, you know what hard working, loving and kind New Hope DSPs are! Thank you to each DSP that calls New Hope their home!
New Hope also received some other great news this month, so keep an eye out for this news!
With all this good news, we also have had to remain vigilant to the governmental cuts that have begun at both the State and Federal levels. New Hope continues to remain vigilant around the inteRAI eligibility reviews and other cuts coming down the pike. We remain a mission driven organization and that has the individuals we serve and their family at the forefront.
Enjoy these fall days (and watch for more good news)!
Allison
