28 Nov A Note from Allison: November 2022
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Did you watch the video of New Hope’s Halls of Gratitude that circle the inside wall of our entire Payne Road building? If not, you can view the video here. Isn’t it great that #TeamNewHope is able to find so many people, so many activities, so much food, such great beauty, so many small but significant parts of our everyday lives, as well as our faith, to be grateful for during this season and throughout the year? This gratitude project was led by Amanda Boyd and our AIMsters. We are so thankful for them and their wonderful idea!

You may know that Abraham Lincoln was the first to declare Thanksgiving a national holiday in the middle of the civil war. This symbolic act teaches us two things: 1) Even in the worst of times we should have something to be thankful for and that should be celebrated and 2) Be hopeful for better days ahead.
Over the last two and a half years New Hope has lived these teachings so well, and I am grateful for everyone that has made this possible. Even through the darkest times of the COVID-19 pandemic, we were able to find things to be thankful for, and we never lost hope. Hope is something that our New Hope founders had, and it is something that continues to propel us today.
We are looking forward to December because the holidays are always fun at New Hope! Between Christmas and Hanukkah parties and holiday treats, no one goes hungry or is bored!
Thank you to everyone who has participated and is planning on participating in our Giving Tuesday campaign. Your acts of generosity allow us to have a fun holiday season!
We are thankful for you – our New Hope family! We wish for you a great holiday season and hope for the New Year!
Be safe, stay healthy and enjoy this time with friends and family!
Take care
Allison
