26 Dec A Note from Allison: December 2023
I hope you had a great holiday, however you celebrated!
As we now look forward to 2024, I want to take a moment and thank you all again, and let you know how grateful I am for each of you- individuals we serve, families, supporters, DSPs and all other members of #TeamNewHope! We collectively work together to bring hope to each other. In this daunting time, we all need hope!
Last week New Hope was sure hope-filled! If you saw the pictures, you know how much fun we had! At New Hope we celebrate ALL the holidays, as evidenced by the Star of David atop our Christmas tree and Kwanzaa decorations at our holiday party. Also, thanks to AIM’s great idea, our holiday door decorating contest put us in the holiday spirit early this year.
New Hope is really all about the holiday spirit; there is love, cheer and goodwill all around! Next year, if you are feeling down over the holidays (as many do) come volunteer at the New Hope holiday party- it will make you feel merry! We had a great holiday party last week! Thanks to everyone who volunteered this year and helped make it an enormous success! We had lots of special guests including Santa and his elves!
With the dawn of a new year, New Hope has lots in store for 2024! We will be growing (more about that in January) and are excited to welcome some new associates to our team. We have already been hard at work on our Lilly Endowment Capacity Building Grant, which will help us serve more people with innovative programs, meet new neighbors, grow our associate base and help us be a more inclusive organization! We look forward to serving and growing in 2024 and the years to come.
Wishing you and yours a great 2024! I am grateful for all of you!
P.S. Today was PJ Day for our AIMsters. Clearly, Grinch apparel was a top Christmas gift!
