A Note from Allison: August 2025
Are you enjoying this weather as much as I am? What a relief the much-needed cooler temperatures have been this week! We, at New Hope are looking forward to all the fun the fall festivities that happen around here each year!
Speaking of festivities, this year’s Silver Cup Celebration might just be the best yet! A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and celebrated our theme of “Just Be You!” The team, led by Silver Cup Committee Chair Denise Irons and New Hope’s new Advancement Director, David Koch, did an incredible job highlighting how a supportive community helps people with disabilities be uniquely themselves. Special shoutouts go to John Person and Pearson Ford for matching Silver Cup donations up to $10,000, Bernie Konrady and Konrady Plastics for our Silver Cup Reception $12,500 match, our Platinum Sponsor, PNC and all of our other 29 sponsors. A big thank you also to our amazing New Hope choir! Check out our album with pictures, sponsors list and the choir performance!
Special congratulations to our award winners:
- Godfrey Onuchukwu – Kathe Rae and Lynn Feldman DSP of the Year Award
- Julie Burrows – Champion of Hope Award
- Chris Berger – Personal Achievement Award
- Billy Ray & Ron Kucer – Beverly Dyken Volunteers of the Year Award
- Universal Cares – Partner of the Year Award
The Legacy award is a first-ever award thanking the Daughters of Charity and Ascension/St. Vincent for all they have contributed to New Hope in terms of time, talent and treasure for most of our 47 years!
The cooler weather has me craving some mouthwatering mac n cheese from our Cheese and Thank You food truck! Have you tried it? Here’s your chance! Join us for lunch on Monday, September 22nd 12-1PM at our Payne Road location and to learn more about New Hope in a relaxed setting. Bring a friend too! RSVP to Amy Wood at awood@newhopeofindiana.org by Thursday, September 18th.
As we look forward to our fall activities, we’re gearing up for DSP Week, September 7th – 13th! This is our time to honor our phenomenal Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for their unwavering dedication. Their compassion and creativity make New Hope the exceptional organization it is. Please show them some love whenever you see them, especially during DSP week! We are so grateful for how they help the individuals we serve and their families thrive.
I hope you have a relaxing Labor Day weekend!
Take care-
Allison
