Happy May, friends!

Spring is in full swing, and so is the excitement at New Hope of Indiana! On April 13^th, we proudly launched the public phase of our Imagine More capital campaign — a $4 million effort to transform our Payne Road campus.

Thanks to tremendous early support, we have already raised $3.366 million toward our goal, including raising the $1.5 million needed for the matching gift from United Way of Central Indiana. This leaves us with $633,000 to go to complete the largest campaign in our history. The funds will create a new community and multi-purpose space, expanded inclusive outdoor areas, a commercial kitchen for life-skills and employment training, and important accessibility and safety improvements — all shaped by listening to the dreams of the individuals we serve.  A huge thank you to everyone who has already donated to the campaign!

The public launch at our April 13^th reception was truly special, highlighted by a beautiful performance from our New Hope choir. They did a fantastic job and brought so much heart and joy to the event. I’m pleased that our public launch has been featured in local media, including stories on WISH-TV, Hoodline.com, and Inside IN Business. These pieces beautifully highlight the vision and momentum behind Imagine More.  Thanks also to our speakers at the event: Capital Campaign Chair, Tim Cook; Capital Campaign member, Adele Smith and Michael McKillip, United Way’s Director of Infrastructure.

April is also Volunteer Appreciation Month, and I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our dedicated volunteers. Your time, talents, and compassion make such a meaningful difference in the lives of the individuals and families we serve every single day.

As we look ahead this month, we’re already anticipating the energy and joy of the racing season — our pace cars, the 500 Princess Party, Friends of the Fox, and the 500 Festival Parade. These special events simply wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support of our volunteers and community partners.
