Meet Our Leadership Team

Allison served as the Chair for New Hope of Indiana’s Board of Directors for a year and a half until she accepted the CEO position in September 2014. As CEO, she is responsible for providing strategic leadership throughout New Hope. Allison is working with the New Hope Board of Directors and its Associates to expand services while at the same time continue the long-standing and excellent dedication to service New Hope has always provided. Prior to working with New Hope, she was the Vice President and Chief Advocacy Officer for St. Vincent Health and served as Vice President for Government Relations at the Indiana Hospital and Health Association. Allison has degrees from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and Indiana University School of Law. Allison describes herself as a lawyer by training but a social worker at heart. She loves to dance with both her husband and daughter.

Claire is a Hoosier by birth, but moved to Texas in high school where she later received a Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration from St. Edwards University in Austin, TX. At her last job she was the HR Coordinator for Cornerstone Hospital of Round Rock, a long term acute care hospital. Claire loves the caring culture at New Hope and is excited to work with a group of people so dedicated to serving their clients and the community. She loves motorsports and spending time with her grandchildren and 2 dogs, Franco and Gracie.

Claire Bozzano

Director of Human Resources

Amy received her Bachelor of Arts from Ohio Wesleyan University and her master’s from The Ohio State University. She has been an integral part of New Hope for 30 years working as a social worker for persons with traumatic brain injury, as a supervisor of the social work department, and in her current position. As the Director of Placement Services, Amy directs decisions regarding the group home program and all Medicaid Waiver services. She is responsible for a variety of departments including Behavior Services, Entitlements, Registry, and Durable Medical Equipment. Over the past several years, Amy has been instrumental in writing and obtaining grants to enhance the services offered by New Hope. When she’s not working to make New Hope a better place, she loves spending time at bead stores and making jewelry.

Amy Flint

Director of Placement Services

Prior to her career with New Hope of Indiana, Leah studied at the University of Indianapolis. She received her Bachelor of Arts in visual communications and Spanish and graduated with Honors in 1991. That same year Leah started working with New Hope and since then has held a variety of Group Home and Staff Development roles. In
her current position as Director of Group Homes she oversees the operation of 11 group homes and medically fragile group homes. Through daily oversight of operation and compliance to federal and state regulations, she hopes to make group homes a place staff want to be, and a place families want their loved ones to live. Leah used to play defensive end for the Indianapolis Vipers, a women’s professional football team!

Leah Steere

Director of Group Home Program

Lynn received her Bachelor of Science in Occupational therapy and her Master of Science in Education from Indiana University. She has worked at New Hope since 1978 in various capacities including Occupational Therapy, Case Management, Rehabilitation Counseling, and Community Living. Lynn has managed the Waiver Supported Living Program since 1996, overseeing the operation of over 50 supported living residences. She is responsible for ensuring that all of the residents are happy, healthy, safe and content in their living arrangements. For her own home, she loves living in a log house and she also loves making quilts.

Director of Supported Living Program

Kathy is the Director of the Community Outreach Department which includes Day Services, Family and Community Services, Home-based Counseling Program and Vocational Rehab Services. Kathy holds a PhD in Special Education. She has spent her career working in the field of disabilities and child welfare. She enjoys program development. Kathy has been with New Hope for 14 years and brings a vast amount of knowledge and experience to the team. Kathy loves animals and is Zeller’s (our facility dog) handler.

Kathy Ballard

Director of Community Outreach Department

Kathe began her employment at New Hope in 1980 as a social worker in the residential facility. She later obtained a master’s degree in social work. Throughout her tenure at New Hope, Kathe has served in many roles including Director of Group Homes and Director of Operations. She currently is the Manager of Staff Development, which ensures the orientation of new associates and ongoing training of current associates. Kathe is also responsible for oversight of the New Hope homes’ maintenance and the transportation department. One of Kathe’s favorite hobbies is collecting rocks from all the places she visit.

Laura has her bachelor’s degree in accounting. In 2012 she joined New Hope of Indiana’s team, and as CFO she manages the accounting department and all of its functions. She likes hugs and is always willing to give them out if you stop by her office.

Laura Tomlin

Chief Financial Officer

Pete brings more than 14 years of experience working with those with disabilities. Serving initially as a consultant prior to joining the staff, he has played a vital role at New Hope since November of 2014. As Chief Operations Officer, he is responsible for maintaining a strong business model with all programs and ensuring that the operations are fiscally sound. Pete has a Bachelor’s degree from Wabash College. When he’s not working at New Hope, he loves playing guitar and collecting watches.

Maija has been an employee at New Hope since 2003. After graduating from Indiana University with a bachelor’s in Spanish, Maija went on to work with children in the foster care system, eventually accepting a position at New Hope in the Home-Based Counseling Program. In her current position, she ensures that New Hope provides high quality services to individuals and ensures their safety and well-being. She is also the designated Corporate Responsibility and HIPAA Compliance/Security Officer for New Hope and in charge of the CARF accreditation Team. Maija loves sparkling water, peanut butter, and Paper Mate’s Flair pens.

Larry has enjoyed a nearly 20-year nonprofit career working with organizations helping others reach their full potential. He joined the New Hope staff in March 2016 and, as the Manager of Development, oversees efforts to expand the organization’s financial resources to enhance programming and ensure that it continues to be innovative and second-to-none. One of his favorite parts of the job is sharing the New Hope story with individuals, businesses and other potential supporters who are eager to collaborate and make an impact on the lives of those we serve. Originally from Detroit, Larry is a hardcore Tigers baseball fan.

Zeller came to join the team at New Hope of Indiana through Canine Companions, Inc. He spent the first 18 months of his life with his volunteer puppy raiser learning basic obedience. He then received six months of professional training at CCI, where he graduated with honors. Zeller is six years old and has been at New Hope for over four years. He is an integral part of the New Hope team and brings much joy to both those we serve and the staff.
